Embassy of Switzerland in Lebanon
As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.
Responsibilities
The Swiss embassy represents Switzerland's interests and provides consular services and visa support for people resident in Lebanon and Syria.
30.07.2026 – Developments in the region
The Embassy of Switzerland in Lebanon closely monitors the situation in the region. Due to ongoing military activities, the security situation may deteriorate further, particularly in the south but also in the rest of the country. The FDFA advises against all travel to Lebanon.
For Swiss nationals: Please refer to the travel advice of the FDFA and keep yourself informed about the current situation. Swiss nationals who remain in Lebanon or travel there contrary to the recommendations of the FDFA must be aware that Switzerland may only be able to provide limited services or none at all if the security situation deteriorates further.
The Swiss Embassy in Beirut is currently open and continues to provide its usual services. Information
Electricity and water supplies are currently unsecured throughout the country. Medication is only available to a limited extent. The situation can change daily.
